Any successful green design is always the result of a very involved collaborative process. We work with our project partners – scientists and researchers, consultants, contractors, developers and clients – to find innovative and advanced solutions to increase the energy efficiency of the projects. As we continuously seek to educate ourselves in the most current sustainability advances in science, technology and legislation, we strive to educate our clients and different other stakeholders as well. It is our strong belief that wider community engagement and citizen involvement is essential to promoting and advancing the green agenda.
Our office also applies the same principles of sustainability in the way we operate and organize ourselves, from encouraging the use of "clean" means of transportation, recycling and reducing paper consumption, to the way we use technology to streamline communication and the transfer of knowledge inside and outside the office.
At JGMA we support all of our team members in their process to become LEED Accredited Professionals. Currently 60% of our team is accredited. We are United States Green Building Council (USGBC) National, and Illinois chapter members, and we strive to achieve LEED certification for all of our projects.
